How the service worksExaminations of lifting equipment etc are often, wrongly, referred to as “insurance inspections” and the work is passed without thinking to insurance company engineers who operate at premium rates. Independent consultancies such as Inspection Services (UK) Limited can provide an identical service, usually for a very competitive fee. Please call us for a quotation without obligation. You may be surprised at our low prices. If your engineering inspections are currently arranged through your insurance broker, please ask the broker to contact us before renewal is due, as we can probably reduce costs for both you and the broker. We can work directly with a client, or on their behalf through an existing insurance broker. Once we have received an instruction, the work will be passed to our local engineer and he will schedule a visit during normal opening hours. If there are matters of concern identified during the inspection, our engineer will bring these to your attention whilst he is on site. After each visit, our engineer prepares an inspection report. This will be submitted to the client, or their broker if applicable, within 28 days but usually sooner. If a serious defect is discovered during a statutory examination, our engineer has a legal obligation to bring this to the attention of the enforcing authority. |
